The successful candidate will:
• Analyse and interpret next generation whole exome and whole genome sequencing experiments for the identification of cancer driver mutations/genes. • Participate in the development of data analysis workflows and pipelines for high throughput genomic data. • Work together with software developers to build a cancer database.
• Postgraduate training in computational biology & bioinformatics. • Experience in the data processing and statistical analysis of high-throughput genomic data. • Knowledge of informatics tools and visualization/data mining packages and an aptitude for optimally adapting them to specific problems. • Experience on bioinformatics services and/or cancer research projects. • Proficiency in written and spoken English. • Good organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable qualifications: • Knowledge of statistical programming environment (R/Bioconductor, Matlab) and programming languages (Python, Java, etc).
